Tips on Working from Home
With the unfortunate circumstances with the coronavirus, also known as COVID_19, society has shifted to a new normal in order to flatten the curve.
What does “flatten the curve” mean? To flatten the curve means is the idea of staggering the number of new cases over a long period of time which can result in people getting better access to care. This has led to social distancing, avoiding public gatherings and integrating working from home.
Working from home has been integrated into many companies for a number of years but never on this large scale. I want to share with you some of my tips on working from home that can help ease the stress during these turbulent times.
1. Create a morning routine.
2. Create boundaries with your “roommates” (whoever lives with you).
3. Set up a dedicated workstation.
4. Create an outline of your day.
5. Schedule breaks throughout your day.
6. Remember to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner (snacks included) and drink water.
7. Get some fresh air, and vitamin D aka sunlight.
8. Adhere to office hours wherever possible.
9. Remember to mute your conference calls wherever possible.
10. Don’t overwork yourself.
Remember that you are not alone. We are all going through this together. Remain strong. <3
