Parsley also known as garden parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is a flowering herb that belongs to the apiaceae family. Parsley is native to the Mediterranean region.  Parsley has medicinal and culinary uses and is commonly used in European, Middle Eastern and American cuisines.   

Parsley is nutrient dense containing essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, calcium, magnesium and potassium.  

Parsley has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. 

Parsley is rich in antioxidants including carotenoids and flavonoids. Antioxidants help fight free radicals in the body and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
