Ground Turkey 

Ground Turkey 

Serving size 4-6

 

Ingredients: 

1 lb of ground turkey

1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

¼ of teaspoon of sea salt

3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme 

1 tablespoon of dried oregano 

1 garlic clove, grated

¼ cup of red onion, diced 

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil 

 

 

Method: 

1.     In a large bowl, add your ground turkey meat and the apple cider vinegar. Sprinkle sea salt all over the ground turkey. 

2.     Strip the leaves from the fresh thyme sprigs and sprinkle them all over the ground turkey. 

3.     Take the dried oregano and sprinkle all over the ground turkey. 

4.     Add the grated garlic. Using your hands, mix in your ground turkey meat with your seasoning. Do not overmix. Cover and allow to marinate for at least 20 minutes in the fridge.

5.     In a large skillet, add the extra virgin olive oil and allow to heat for about 1 minute then add in your diced red onions. 

6.     Allow your red onions to cook for about 1 minute, then add your marinated meat. Allow it to cook for about 20 minutes, mixing and breaking it into small pieces making sure it’s thoroughly cooked.

7.     Serve and enjoy. (You can add your ground turkey to your salads, tacos, with a side a sweet potato etc.)
