Fried Sweet Plantains (Platanos Maduros)

Ingredients: 

1 ripe sweet plantain

2 tablespoons of avocado oil 

 

Method: 

1.     Peel and slice the sweet plantain diagonally. 

2.     In a large skillet on medium-high heat, add the avocado oil. Allow to heat up for about 1 minute. 

3.     Add the sweet plantain. 

4.     Allow it to cook about 5-10 minutes on each side or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.

5.     Place the cooked sweet plantains on a paper towel lined plate to drain the excess oil. 

6.     Serve and enjoy.
