Now how much water should you drink daily? Typically 8-12 cups of water is recommended daily but if you want a more accurate number then use this formula below:

0.5 ounces x Body Weight in Pounds = Daily Fluid Requirement in ounces.  

Then take the Daily Fluid Requirement and divide by 8 = # of cups you will need a day (round to the nearest full cup) 

Here is example:

If you weigh 130lbs x 0.5 ounces = 65 ounces

Now take 65 ounces divide by 8 = 8.125

You will need 8 cups of water daily
