Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis

A few years ago, my health started to slowly decline and fell extremely ill for about six months. None of the doctors at all of the hospitals that I was admitted to could figure out what I had. I had a mystery illness that puzzled many doctors. Two out of the six months during my illness was spent in a wheelchair, not being able to walk nor be independent.  Finally, after seeing many doctors, my rheumatologist had me on prednisone temporarily. Prednisone helped me walk again but due it being a dangerous drug, I decided to seek a naturopathic doctor to explore safer options so that I can walk without relying on prednisone or any future DMARD medications.  My naturopathic doctor had me follow his program and nursed me back into good health. Today I am in remission and living a healthy life without relying on any drugs. Very rarely, I do have flare-ups that can be triggered with stress or food allergies (consuming nightshades etc.), which I am now aware to stay away from. I wanted to share my journey on living a simple, clean, well, lifestyle while living with the autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis.
