How to Develop Discipline

So I’ve heard the excuse of “I’m spontaneous” or it’s hard for me to be self-disciplined or even I just don’t know how to be disciplined. Listen, I like to be spontaneous myself but I have an “outline” for each day. If I have some spare time during my day, I’ll do something spontaneous! Everyone is entitled to have an exciting life! I don’t enjoy monotony but I am not bored in my life. My self-discipline made me who I am today, successful.

Here are some suggestions on how to develop discipline:

  1. Schedule small tasks during the day and set a time limit to complete the task.
  2. Wait for the scheduled time of this specific task to complete the task
  3. Stick to this schedule for at least 3 months. Avoid being impulsive.
  4. Track your progress so you can gauge how much time it takes to complete each small task. Write down the start and end time of each task.
  5. Evaluate how you feel after you have completed each task. Trust me, you will feel extremely content and accomplished!
