Detox your circle: Friends, Family, Significant Others, Co-workers etc..

I honestly believe in this quote by Jim Rohn- “You’re the average of the five people you spend most of your time with.”

Those 5 people are crucial to your success in life. You attract what you are. Choose wisely. Life is too short for nonsense-YH

So if surround yourself with people that aren’t positive then you will most likely fall into their negative trap. Sometimes you may not even realize that the people around you are toxic because living your life on autopilot.

Here are 15 Red Flags that your circle is toxic:

1. Control you: Toxic people tend to control your life when they can’t have control their own life through manipulation.

2. Disregard your boundaries: You are constantly asking someone to respect your boundaries but they just don’t care. They continue to behave in a certain way. Toxic people thrive on violating boundaries.

3. Greedy: Toxic people take without giving. Give and take is very important in every type of relationship and should be even. If you are constantly giving and they are only taking then it’s time to cut the cord.

4. Always “right”: They will always find a way to prove that they are “right” even when they’re actually wrong. They will never admit that they are wrong.

5. Dishonest: Consistently lying.

6. Always the victim: They always find a way to be oppressed and have a ton of excuses. They always blame others for their faults.

7. Don’t take responsibility: Never think it’s their fault, again being the victim. “Everyone is out to get them” mentality.

8. Jealous: They are jealous of you. They are jealous of your life (accomplishments, relationships, career, etc.) They want your life. This is not healthy whatsoever.

9. Gossip: If they are constantly gossiping about others, then there’s a 99.9% chance that they are also gossiping about you. They rarely have conversations with you with substance.

10. Always come first: It’s always about them and never about you. They never can find the time for you but you are always there for them when they need you. They also don’t check in to see how you are doing but they expect you to know how they are doing.

11. Negative: Constantly complaining about everything and not doing anything to change their circumstances. They are also judgmental.
