Raspberries (Rubus idaeus) are an edible fruit belonging to the rose family. Raspberries are native to Europe and northern Asia but are now cultivated in temperate areas worldwide.

Raspberries are sweet and tart with a short shelf life that should be eaten as soon as possible.

Raspberries contain essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin K, vitamin E, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and copper. Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese.
