Is too much estrogen a bad thing?

You may find yourself with a hormonal imbalance due to too much estrogen. You may be wondering where you may be getting this extra estrogen into your body? Animal-based meats and dairy tend to have estrogen naturally, especially in factory farm environments where additional hormones are pumped to increase the weight and milk production.

Having too much estrogen can increase the risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, fibroids, impaired fertility and irregular periods. You can also be exposed to too much estrogen from other chemicals.

Eating a plant-based, fiber rich diet (organic whenever possible) can help balance your hormones and maintain a healthy estrogen balance. Avoiding soy is also helpful because soy can also disrupt your hormones. Also, try to minimize any chemicals you may be exposed to, including what you also put on your body.
